Dialock LTD – Standard 1-Year Warranty Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: January 24, 2020

These Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") govern the standard warranty provided by Dialock LTD, a locksmith service company based in Dublin, Ireland (hereinafter referred to as "the Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By engaging our services, you ("the Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these T&Cs.

1. Warranty Period Dialock LTD provides a standard one (1) year warranty on all locksmith services and products supplied and installed by us. This warranty period commences from the date of completion of the original service.

2. What is Covered by the Standard Warranty During the one (1) year warranty period, Dialock LTD warrants that:

  • Workmanship: All installation and repair work performed by our technicians will be free from defects in workmanship.
  • Parts: All new parts supplied and installed by Dialock LTD will be free from defects. This includes:
    • Manufacturer Defects: Any inherent defects in the materials or manufacturing of the part, even if the original manufacturer's warranty period for that specific part has expired.
    • Wear and Tear: Reasonable wear and tear on the components that impairs their normal function. This specifically excludes damage caused by misuse or external factors.
  • No Product Replacement Limits:There are no limits on the value of parts replaced under this warranty due to covered defects.

3. What is NOT Covered by the Standard Warranty This warranty does NOT cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, vandalism, accidental damage (e.g., forced entry, impact damage), or theft.
  • Damage resulting from improper operation, maintenance, or negligence by the Customer or third parties.
  • Damage caused by external factors such as fire, flood, storms, lightning, or other acts of God.
  • Repairs, modifications, or attempted repairs made by anyone other than Dialock LTD without our prior written authorization.
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect the functionality of the product or installation (e.g., scratches, dents that do not impair operation).
  • Any issues arising from pre-existing conditions or faults not related to our work or the parts supplied by us.

5. Resolution of Warranty Claims Upon validation of a warranty claim, Dialock LTD will, at its sole discretion, either repair or replace the defective parts or rectify the faulty workmanship, free of charge for labour and parts. No call-out fees apply for valid warranty claims during the standard 1-year warranty period.

6. Voiding the Standard Warranty This warranty will be immediately voided if:

  • Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or attempted repairs are made to the installed products or workmanship by anyone other than Dialock LTD.
  • The original invoice for the service is found to be fraudulent or tampered with.
  • The product or installation is subjected to conditions beyond its design specifications or intended use.

7. Our Liability Our liability under this Standard Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective parts or rectification of faulty workmanship, as described in Section 5. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the products or services covered by this warranty.

8. Transferability This standard warranty is transferable to a new owner of the property where the original service was performed. The new owner must notify Dialock LTD of the change in ownership and provide a copy of the original invoice for the warranty to remain valid.

9. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes arising in connection with these T&Cs shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
